Seems to be a lot of companies now putting out press releases saying they are going green. We agree that going green is a good thing. However someone going green because it's the latest fad makes me wonder. Why now? Is this just a PR ploy?
Akron Grove Bath Products Inc. has been green ever since we started.
1) We reuse cardboard boxes we receive our supplies in. Those that are in too bad a shape to reuse get sent to recycling. We also get used boxes from another company that they were going to dispose of.
2) We reuse packing materials we receive. This includes bubble wrap and styrofoam packing "peanuts" along with any other packing materials we can.
3) Our bath products containers are recyclable.
4) We have a refill policy where if you return the empty container, we will refill it and give you a discount.
5) We use fluorescent lighting wherever possible.
6) Our products are made using renewable resources.
7) All paperwork is shredded when we are done with it and sent to recycling.
8) We recycle our printer cartridges.
9) We use set back thermostats.
10) We use ceiling fans instead of air conditioning.
The list goes on and on but you get the idea. Going green is not new to us. It's the way we've
always done business.
We've only got one planet, let's save it for our children.
